Teairra Mari is planning to sue her ex-boyfriend Akbar for revenge porn amidst some leaked photos and videos.
The Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star sent the internet into a frenzy on Wednesday when some explicit photos and videos popped up on her Instagram account.
Now we know that he account was hacked and the private contents were leaked . Teairra Mari has since regained control of her social media accounts but the damage has already been done.
“Recently my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust,” she wrote in a statement posted on Instagram. “That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred. Moving forward, I recognized the need to be more cautious and discerning. My hope is for women to remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile acts by former lovers who find it difficult to act in an adult manner.”
At the end of her statement, Teairra made it clear that she will be pursuing justice and revenge porn is a crime in the state of California. “Revenge porn is a crime in California and I will be in pursuit of justice,” she said
